Check the thermostat wiring first
Plenty of older Dallas-area homes have no C-wire at the thermostat, and a lot of smart thermostats need one. Send a photo of the wires behind your current thermostat before you buy, and we'll tell you whether it needs an adapter.
With doorbells and cameras, we stay until yours shows up in the app on your phone and the picture is of the porch and the path up to it.
