What do our handyman services cover?
LocalHandyPro offers handyman services across Dallas–Fort Worth for the jobs that pile up. A door that won't latch. A towel bar hanging by one screw. Caulk around the tub that went gray two summers ago, and the blinds that came with the house and never worked. None of these is worth a day off on its own, and together they eat a Saturday.
Most of our visits are lists, and we like it that way. Put everything on yours, even the thing you think is too small to mention. Once someone is standing there with the right bit in the drill it's often five minutes; left off the list, it's a second trip.
Bigger items can share the visit if they fit in the day: a dresser to build, a TV to hang, a shelf for the garage. If they don't fit, they get their own day, and you'll know which is which before anything is booked.

Call (469) 577-1791That's how we prefer it. Send the whole list with a photo of each item if you can manage it, and we'll price it as one visit. If something on it needs a day of its own, like a big playset or a full room of paint, we'll split it out and tell you why.
Yes. If you care about the brand or the finish, say which and we'll buy that one. If you don't, we'll get something that fits and matches what's already there. It goes on the quote before anything is bought, so there's no surprise receipt at the end.
Not at the moment. That rules out dripping faucets, running toilets, light fixtures, ceiling fans and outlets. A licensed plumber or electrician is the right call for those, and Texas takes both licenses seriously. Most of the rest of a typical list is ours.
One of our technicians, or two when the job needs another pair of hands. Every technician is background-checked and carries their own liability insurance. They bring their own tools, ladders and drop cloths.
Tell us and we'll send another technician to finish it properly. You walk through the work before anyone leaves, which catches most things, but if a shelf starts to lean a week later, call anyway.
Phones are answered Monday to Saturday, 8 AM to 8 PM. A request sent through the site at midnight gets a reply within 24 hours, same as one sent at noon.
What can a handyman legally do in Texas?
Texas has no license for general handyman work, so hanging, assembling, patching and fixing things around the house is open to anyone who does it well. Plumbing, electrical and air-conditioning work are different. The state licenses each of them, and none of those rules has a handyman exception.
That's where our list stops. We'll mount the TV but not move the outlet behind it, and we'll patch the drywall once someone qualified has fixed whatever was leaking into it. If a job on your list crosses that line, we'll say so when we quote rather than on the day.
Why send the whole list at once?
Because on a small job, the drive and the setup take longer than the work. One visit that clears eight things is a better use of your morning than eight visits, and it tells us what to bring: the stud finder and anchors, the caulk gun, the step ladder for the smoke alarm nobody can reach.
It also stops the list growing back. The squeaky hinge gets oiled while the door is being adjusted anyway. The cabinet handle gets tightened on the way past.
